This goes for St. Denis, a period recreation of one of the most fun cities - New Orleans. This may be more difficult to spot for players who haven’t visited the Louisiana party town, but for those who have, St. Denis has a wistful beauty. Sure, you can’t pick up any beignets but it’s definitely worth a visit for Southern enthusia

The codes in Red Dead Redemption and its sequel are infamous for not being aids to get ahead- when enacted, goals and missions disappear. So while they’re no good for getting ahead or completing side missions, they can be a whole lot of fun. Whether its a code to create a circus tent in place of your caravan or something as pragmatic and sensible as creating a buggy out of thin air- there’s an entire directory of every one discovered thus far. And as for that buggy, the code is Create A Buggy. If only finding housing was that easy in real l

When the main chapters of Red Dead ’s story pass into the epilogues and John takes the reins for the rest of the game, he has Arthur’s journal. Arthur gave John his satchel and it inspires the rugged and stubborn to-be-rancher to express himself. John has a difficult time opening up to those he truly loves, Abigail and Jack, and expressing emotions doesn’t come easily to him. But through Arthur’s life and death, John begins to learn how to speak what’s not only on his mind, but etched on his heart.

If dogs are man’s best friend (and the billions of videos of them on social media would suggest so), what about horses? Let’s stop for a moment here and consider where the Wild West would be without them. What the Lone Ranger’s catchphrase would’ve been, if he couldn’t Hi-ho on Silver? It just doesn’t bear thinking ab

The journal is a stellar hand-written chronicle of the game’s story and your influence woven together from the perspective of the game’s two leads. It is richly-detailed in an engrossing way that made me play around it. Instead of opening it when I had a chance, I made time for it.

Your time on the tropical-paradise-gone-wrong is remarkably short, which can understandably leave some players feeling somewhat cold. The good news is that if you ever want to go back there, you can, at least for now. You need to glitch your way back. It's a very complex glitch that involves making your way to the edge of the world, then falling through it, but it's currently unfixed. If you really want to go back, there are very detailed videos on YouT

In GTO, do five bounties for Eccles and then you’ll unlock the hatchet. With the hatchet, slaughter 25 opponents with it and you’ll unlock access to it in Red Dead Online . Hop onto RDO and you’ll need to find the Stone Hatchet near the burial linked web site. It’s a bit of work, but it isn’t difficult to get done by any me

There were things I was discovering in the epilogue I never experienced in the game itself. The fishing and hunting is so deep and varied, it could be its own game and one that would warrant a full price purchase. So the fact that those tasks are optional here tells you just how perfect and realized the old west is in this g

The madness for Red Dead Redemption 2 mixed with the incredibly engrossing, unending world of the game makes for a few results - for one thing, some players might be too excited and ambitious to race ahead of other players that they miss some details. And for another, well… just take good care of the horse. That’ll catch up in a big way if you try any shortcuts th

***Editor's Note: This feature will delve into some spoilers for Red Dead Redemption 2 and its story. If you care to avoid having such things spoiled, we would recommend coming back after you finish the game’s main story and epilogue. **

Normally, humungous AAA open-world games have aspects and mechanics fighting for my attention. Some may be quest-lines about how to hunt the rarest animals or time trials for rare loot or getting 100% map completion for a super secret message at the end: it’s only by the end that I truly know my favorite element of the entire experience. For Red Dead Redemption 2 , I knew almost immediately. That journal is special, and I hope you remember to open it up once in a while.

The same’s true of Red Dead Redemption 2 . Money’s pretty tight for Arthur and his gang, especially early on. You might be itching to unlock fast travel as soon as possible, but it doesn’t come ch

If you've completed the mission "The Joys Of Civilization," you can find a Russian scientist by the name of Marko Dragic in the park in Southwest Saint-Denis. After 24 hours pass, you can start the second part of the mission. Head to the very north-east of the map, north of Brandywine Drop. Here you can find the Tesla-style lab, where, among other things, he's got an electric lantern you can pick up that replaces your old one. He's also working on a robot, but things are not going w
