Geology for Beginners is a stranger mission given to you by the maybe time-traveling Francis Sinclair, who tasks you with finding various rock carvings. Unlike the dreaded dinosaur bones which take forever, this is over in no time at all. After finding just one carving, you are paid $10 (and a bottle of bourbon). And after five, you are given a rock statue which can be sold to a fence for $50. All told, you are given a cool $60 after finding just five rock carvings, which shouldn't take very long (provided you use a guide.) Plus you get to see all the trippy engravings, so it's a win-

If you'd prefer to live a more honest life, then hunting is always an option. Unfortunately, it doesn't pay nearly as well as stealing wagons. Hunting animals is not only risky business, but it's hard work. You have to find an animal, hope that it's a nice three-star version, and then dispose of it cleanly. Then you have to skin it and ride it back to the butcher's, all for maybe $10 in pelts and meat. In the time it takes you to hunt four perfect animals for $40 you could have stolen one wagon outside Emerald Ranch. Plus you get your clothes and your horse all messy, and who wants t

These rock piles look to be part of some kind of ceremonial pattern. Forget about the mystery of the rock piles though. You’re there for the treasure. Inside the center rock pile, you will find the third Jack Hall Treasure

A character that players will run into throughout the game is a blind old man that begs for money on the side of the road. If you actually comply and give him the money he will act as a fortune teller and tell you a tidbit about your character. The prophet part comes in when he accurately predicts things that will happen to Arthur Morgan, like predicting the betrayal of Micah and ultimately Arthur's passing. Even later in the game when playing as John Marston the blind prophet accurately tells John things that happened to him in the first Red Dead Redempti

On the topic of cheat codes, players in Red Dead Redemption 2 may find they’ve learned more recipes in the game then they actually know in real life. By entering the cheat code "Eat of knowledge", you’ll miraculously learn every recipe the game has to offer. Sure, you still have to gather those ingredients and cook them, but you’ll be transformed into a cowboy equivalent of Julia Childs. Truly the best of both worlds, if we’re combining cuisine and the wild plains. Also, Red Dead might exist solely to teach the people playing it domestic skills like pet ownership and cooking - just say

Red Dead Redemption has its fair share of grounded details, like how Arthur’s interactions with people are negatively affected if he doesn’t mind his hygiene, and then there are unique details like an after-hours ghost. Who wouldn’t stay up late and wander darkened streets if it means running into a ghost? Fine, these ghosts play it even scarier by hanging out in alligator-infested swamps… but isn’t the danger worth meeting the spirit of Agnes Dowd ? Well, run into her on a foggy night at the Bluewater Marsh between 9 PM and 3 AM. Don’t worry about the foggy weather making it difficult to spot her - reportedly, she’s shout

It's been nearly two months since red dead redemption 2 guide Dead Redemption 2 hit shelves, going above and beyond all expectations and smashing a series of records. Building upon the foundations of gameplay which made the first title such a success, this prequel would offer up one of the greatest narrative experiences that gamers have ever been offered. If you didn't get emotional at least once during your playthrough, you must have a heart of st

The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is an expensive one indeed. Not only are there lots of things to buy (or buy off)— stuff like clothes, weapons, and bounties— but income is virtually non-existent. You play as outlaw Arthur Morgan, who is a member of the infamous Van der Linde gang. The only thing is that the gang (by virtue of being a gang) doesn't really have a reliable or steady source of income. On top of that, the country is moving on (both technologically and socially) and leaving the life of outlaws and cowboys in the literal dust. The gang is forced to loan money to beggars at exorbitant interest rates, rob trains and banks, and do menial odd jobs just to get by. As such, money is tight with a capita

Smoking and Other Hobbies is a collector's dream, but a nightmare for more casual players. Arthur encounters a man named Phineas T. Ramsbottom outside Flatneck Station, who tells Arthur that premium cigarette cards are worth good money. There are 144 of these cards to collect throughout the map, and they're scattered all over the place. Finding them all is really monotonous work, and it takes forever. After finding all 144, you are given a mere $200. This may sound like a lot, but finding all the cards takes HOURS of work. And yes, you can buy premium cigarettes and amass the cards, but this isn't ideal for a cash-strapped player. At a hefty $5 a pack, you would be spending more than you would be making, and that's just bad businPANTONE-20-0069-TPM-Candy-Apple-Red-Color-Code.jpg
